This is a math course that introduces students to algebraic concepts and how to use them to solve problems. Students learn to use variables, work with letters as variables in mathematical expressions and equations, graph functions, plot functions on graphs, solve equations, use equations to solve problems, understand inequalities, understand how to work with inequalities, apply concepts to real world scenarios, and use algebra to solve real world problems. This course is a blend of direct instruction and online work and activities.
6-8 Grade
Science π¬
This class will study the earth's structure, composition, processes, and history, as well as its place in the universe. Students learn about the Earth's oceans, atmosphere, and climate, and how these factors have contributed to the planet's geologic history. They also study Earth's interactions with the solar system, Milky Way Galaxy, and the universe!
